Alessi brand new wine-set "Noé" by Giulio Iacchetti blends ergonomics with irony and takes inspiration by Noah main passion after shipping the Ark to shore. Giulio Iacchetti has put his talents to the test by creating a set of accessories designed to properly serve and preserve wine. The “Noè” series includes a drop-stop ring, a champagne cork opener, a pressure bottle stop and a modular bottle holder. The collection’s name is a clear reference to the first man that, according to the Bible, grew grapevines to make wine. Giulio Iacchetti says: “Noè (Noah) is not just famous for building the Ark to save animals from the universal flood, but also for his passion for wine. It is said that he invented it after the first vine cultivation experiment. This is why we decided to name this series after the biblical patriarch who is said to have lived to the age of 950… spectacularly trouncing beer drinkers, who are supposed to live “merely” 100 years as suggested by a popular proverb!”
The bottle holder is modular system for wine bottles storage. Each module can be easily connected to two other modules through a groove along the base of each element. By combining and stacking multiple elements you can create small wall structures. Made of thermoplastic resin, Noè bottle holder comes in white, back and dark red Noè stopper’s mission is to keep the organoleptic properties of wine and champagne intact keeping the looks of a traditional corks used to hermetically seal champagne bottles. Made in polished steel with an internal rubber crown it closes the cap with a pressure and expansion mechanism Noè drop-stop ring is an ironic take on the classic engagement ring with a sparkling solitaire diamond. The designer decided to embellish the bottle with a ring that can be slipped around the neck and features a small gem. The ring is produced in 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish. The black felt liner found inside the drop-stop ring can be easily removed, washed and put back in place for easy maintenance.
