From 15/01 to 15/02 at Via Garibaldi 12 you'll have the chance to admire 3 architectural models made by genoese archite Edoardo Miola for Aldo Rossi Edoardo Miola was born in Genoa (16 October 1954) and he graduated in Architecture in 1979. In the same year, he is on the Official Roll and begins his professional with Renzo Piano, as for him until 1997, carries out the model construction of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW). In 1985, he knows Aldo Rossi, teacher, colleague, friend. This close cooperation lasts until the Milan architect death.He has to do with international architects as Matteo Thun, Eckhard Gerber, Mario Bellini. Their experiences join with passion and sensitiveness. Their profession is not only the realization of ideas, but also listening, respect for people and places, looking for materials that reflect environmental balance. He establishes Progetti Ltd. It undertakes by contract the infrastructural ground plannings by Italimpianti in the Near and Middle Far East. Also, it takes part in Brazil Tubarau plan. He devotes himself with the industrial infrastructure design, civil and industrial engineering and energy. He’s Fiatengineering (but also, Idea Studio, Group Bertone, Zagato Group, IRI, SBB, Fincantieri, Horizon SN, Society Construction of excellence, industry-related companies, as Alenia and Defense Whitead, Ansaldo, Eni) team member.Since 1989 he is related to the Academic world, especially the Politecnico of Milan for measurements in air (wind-tunnel GVPM) and outputs of dynamic and aeroelastic models. In the aeroelastic study, he makes important contributions to Eduardo Souto de Mora’s, Massimiliano Fuksas’s, Renzo Piano’s, Daniel Libenskind’s, Zaha Hadid’s, Arata Isozaki’s works. He realizes dynamic and aeroelastic models, pressure measures of international and national Ports (for example, Messina Bridge). Nature, travels, sea passion guide his work with companies performing in shipbuilding, diving, water, fittings. From 1999 he devoted himself to naval design. He has a partnership with PIetarssari Nautor Swan and Gosport Camper & Nicholson for the production hull model constructions and concept model development. He transfers the gained experience in the CN computer modelling. He writes for marine important magazines and, attentive to new communication forms, he founds Archimedegroup with various museum professionals.Today, he works and lives in Genoa-Nervi. In his two laboratories, he designs, develops, optimizes each object produced. |
