Motifs from the Girard Estate
The designer Alexander Girard was one of the formative figures of American post-war design. During his extensive travels, Girard was a fanatical collector of textiles and folk art, which he used as inspiration for his motifs. After he died, the majority of the Girard estate with hundreds of drawings, prototypes and samples was donated to the Vitra Design Museum.
The Key Ring Sun is made from metal with a brass appearance and black enamel paint.
