Jasper Morrison reinterpreted the classic shell chair with the Hal Tube chair. Hal Tube is a multifunctional chair with a clear, contemporaneous expression. It was created by the designer as a part of his Hal collection for Vitra.
The modern shell chair possesses a four-leg under frame made of steel tube and has diverse usage – in offices as well as in public or private areas. The form of the sitting shell offers a lot of elbowroom and the slightly yielding plastic allows different sitting positions – also sideward’s or astride. This is how Hal promotes a dynamic and ergonomic sitting.
The under frame from the Hal chair from Vitra is available chromed or powder coated in the colours cream and basic dark. The powder coated edition of the Hal Tube Chair is also suitable for outdoors. The different colours of the sitting bowl allow the colour integration of the chair in every furnishing.
