EAMES ESU BOOKCASE
In 1949, Charles & Ray Eames developed a new system of free-standing multifunctional shelves which - similar to the Eames House that dates from the same time - were constructed strictly in keeping with the principles of industrial mass production.
The ESU (Eames Storage Unit) Bookcase is reproduced here by Vitra in moulded plywood with dimpled sliding doors, brightly painted screens, brushed, galvanized metal surfaces and height-adjustable legs.
