The Bordalo Pinheiro ArtisticCeramics Factory carries the torch of the Ceramics Factory from Caldas da Rainha,founded in 1884 by the designer and caricaturist genius Rafael BordaloPinheiro. An original artistic project, combining industrial production with aquest for the essence of being Portuguese. The factory continues toreproduce pieces from its extraordinary faience collection and to expand it withnew creations inspired by his originals, such as lobster plates or cabbagedinnerware – not forgetting the original swallows.
