The Delft decoration brings a gust of foreign elegance to the famous corkscrew, reinterpreting the art of Dutch ceramics. Mendini draws from the colours of the ancient tradition of Delftware in a totally personal manner: the charm of the decoration, noted the designer, â€œlies in generating evocative forms, drawing from the world of fables, childhood tales and the iconography of the agrarian memories of Dutch grandmothersâ€.
